Checking a Mule 610 rectifier

A buddy asked me to check his Kawasaki Mule 610 after a battery swap, and I noticed the rectifier running really hot. Is that normal, or does anyone know the typical operating temperature?

It gets warm during normal operation, but it shouldnt be extremely hot though. Typical operating temperatures are usually in the range of 120-150 degrees F. If it feels much hotter than that, it could point to wiring issues, poor grounding or a failing rectifier.

Thanks, have you ever measured your rectifier's temperature with an infrared thermometer, or do you usually just go by feel to judge if it's running too hot?
